Mission Statement of Pickle's People
After Eliza Cate's diagnosis, we realized the lack of awareness around childhood cancer. It's not and will never be an easy topic to talk about. It's our belief that the more awareness that's brought to childhood cancer, the more opportunities there are for funding that could ultimately lead to better treatments.
With the lack of awareness, childhood cancers generally take a back seat to other types of cancers with respect to legislative initiatives. We participate in advocacy days as well as partner with other organizations to ensure childhood cancer initiatives are at the forefront.
The overwhelming support from friends and family to help us through tough times has been unbelievable. A big reason we started Pickle's People was due to the lack of direct impact organizations on a local level. Our organization hopes to be that support for families going through a recent cancer diagnosis.
